Fez Whatley, born as “Fez” Marie Whatley on March 31, 1964, was an American talk show host and comedian. He is best known as one half of the talk show host team of Ron and Fez. Prior to that, Fez gained recognition for producing and contributing to the highly-successful syndicated radio show, The Ron and Ron Show, starring his future radio co-host, Ron Bennington.
Personal Life
Fez Whatley faced several health challenges throughout his life. In November 2005, he suffered a mild heart attack, which he initially did not recognize as such. In addition, Fez was diagnosed with diabetes. He underwent an angioplasty to address his heart condition and returned to work later that same year. However, he experienced chest pains and had a second stent inserted, leading him to temporarily leave the show. Fez had a third heart attack while in the hospital for an unrelated medical issue in September 2010.
