Luke 6:38 is a well-known verse in the Bible that states, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” This verse is often quoted in relation to generosity and giving, but does it specifically refer to money?<\/p>\n

When examining Luke 6:38 in context, it is clear that the verse is not solely referring to money. In the preceding verses, Jesus instructs his followers to love their enemies, do good to those who hate them, and give to those in need without expecting anything in return.
