MOIC offers valuable insights into the performance of private equity investments, enabling investors to evaluate the success of their investment strategies.<\/p>\n

Private equity firms acquire ownership stakes in privately-held companies with the aim of generating substantial returns for their investors. The success of these investments is typically assessed by examining the MOIC ratio. This ratio is calculated by dividing the total distributions received from an investment by the original investment amount.<\/p>\n
