<\/span><\/h2>\nTo sort an Excel chart by value, follow these steps:<\/p>\n
1. Open the Excel spreadsheet containing the chart you want to sort.<\/p>\n
2. Click on the chart to select it. This will display the Chart Tools tab in the Excel ribbon.<\/p>\n
3. In the Chart Tools tab, navigate to the Design tab and click on the “Select Data” button. <\/p>\n
4. The “Select Data Source” dialog box will open. In this dialog box, click on the “Switch Row\/Column” button if needed to rearrange how Excel interprets your data.<\/p>\n
5. Under the “Legend Entries (Series)” or “Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels” section, click on the entry you wish to sort. This will highlight the series or category you want to sort.<\/p>\n
6. Click on the “Edit” button next to the “Legend Entries (Series)” or “Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels” section.<\/p>\n
7. The “Edit Series” or “Edit Axis Labels” dialog box will pop up. In the dialog box, you can change the order of the selected series or categories by clicking on the up or down arrows. Use the arrows to move the selected item to the desired position in the list.<\/p>\n
8. After arranging the series or categories in the desired order, click on the “OK” button to apply the changes.<\/p>\n
9. Back in the “Select Data Source” dialog box, click on the “OK” button to close it.<\/p>\n
10. Your chart should now be sorted based on the values you specified.<\/p>\n
