4. Notice to Quit (Periodic Tenancies): For periodic tenancies, either with a rolling monthly or rolling weekly contract, the notice period depends on the rental payment frequency. If the rent is paid monthly, the notice period must be at least 1 month. If the rent is paid weekly, the notice period must be at least 4 weeks.<\/p>\n
5. Rent Increase Notice: When a landlord wishes to increase the rent, they must provide at least 1 month’s notice in writing if the tenancy is periodic. For a fixed-term tenancy, the rent increase can only occur at the end of the fixed term unless the tenancy agreement specifies otherwise.<\/p>\n
