The tragic death of Breonna Taylor at the hands of the police sparked outrage and led to calls for justice and police reform across the country. In the aftermath of her death, many people wondered what her family would do with the money they received as part of a legal settlement with the city of Louisville. The $12 million settlement was among the largest ever for a Black woman killed by police in the United States. <\/p>\n

Breonna Taylor’s family used the money from the settlement to set up the Breonna Taylor Foundation. The foundation aims to support organizations that are dedicated to police reform, racial justice, and youth empowerment. In addition, the family plans to create a living memorial for Breonna and continue advocating for justice in her name.<\/p>\n
